How many WEMS have been installed to date?

WEMS has been installed in more than 3,000 sites and growing at around 200 locations per month, with blue chip customers including BT, Vodafone, HMV, Boots, M&S, Waterstone’s, Matalan, Nationwide Building Society and China Telecom.

Over the next 12 months, we are scheduled to install a further 2,000 systems.

Is WEMS sold worldwide?

WEMSinternational has the in-house capabilities to install systems in any country. Additionally, we have key partnerships agreements with distributors in Canada and North America, China and South Africa.

Does it interfere with my broadband or other existing wireless systems?

WEMS works on a frequency that does not interfere with any other wireless systems.

How long does it take to install WEMS?

On average the system takes just four days to install, and as disruption is kept to a minimum as there are no wires, installation can take place during working hours.

Over what distance can the system operate?

The WEMS wireless components can operate at 100% efficiency over 2,000 metres, meaning it can be used in very large and neighbouring buildings without a reduction in performance and without the need for cabling.

When was WEMS launched?

The system was launched in 2007 following significant investment, years of research and numerous field trials. Since then we have continued to invest and develop the system, making improvements literally every month.

What is the minimum size property in which WEMS can be installed?

The eradication of installation cabling and lower cost base makes the system commercially viable for even the smallest buildings. Typically those buildings with an average energy bill of £7,000 and above will benefit the most from WEMS installation. The average industry figure for wired systems is £15,000 and above.
